Finals time in the career college library

March 13, 2012

Well, it’s that time again.  The end of another term and the insanity is just starting.  These last few weeks of the term we are overrun with; class instruction, reference assistance, computer trouble shooting, and all matter of other challenges.

I LOVE it!!

That insanity does come with a price though and typically for me it is down time.  Most people I work with would try to disagree but really I’m an introvert and I recharge with some alone time.  That time is definitely missing right about now so it’s good that I have a few weeks between terms.

What I’m really curious about is how the end of your term is.  Do you get real busy or is it pretty much, business as usual?  What tends to get the most use right now, class room instruction (citations, resource finding, etc.), or is it more ready reference or reference interview work??

Hit me up on Facebook or leave a comment – how does your end of term look??

Our end-of-term usually has the library pretty busy with students studying and needing assistance with papers. Instruction sessions lag at this time (our height is at start of term).

Awesome Madeline and thanks for sharing. I don’t know what it is but most of in class instruction happens right now. You would think it would make more sense at the beginning of the term but it never works out that way. Oh well…. we just add the instruction to all the paper helping. 🙂
